Texas Coastal RV Parks- Where the adventure begins

Texas is a big place. How big? Very big. Texas boasts 268,597 square miles of land mass or 171,902,080 acres. It’s the second largest state in the US, just behind Alaska, and all that land includes a stretch of mountains and our own grand canyon… Palo Duro Canyon. A fun additional fact is fifteen of the smallest US states could fit within Texas. We also have two time zones and a coastline that stretches nearly 400 miles! And it’s our coastline that brought us to this point.

There are many rv park websites, but only one focused exclusively on coastal rv parks… Texas Coastal RV Parks.

My wife and I are avid rv’ers, and so far, have not had one disappointing trip. We’ve traveled up and down the Texas coast, from about as far south as you can go, and north just shy of Houston, and a few in between.

Our recent rv trip brought us new joy… we finally got to meet our newest grandbaby from the Houston area… Ethan Anthony. Our kids from Corpus Christi met up with us as well. Our two granddaughters, Evie Jo and Caroline Grace, also joined in the fun. Our destination was the Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA, our second trip there, and planning a third. We plan another little getaway not too far away this coming weekend in Port Aransas.

A trip I’m really excited about is going entirely off the grid. We bought a generator and are planning on camping on the beach, and when I say on the beach, I mean on the beach! It will be a bit chilly, but the fishing should be pretty good. A friend of mine who is a fishing guide told me redfish, speckled trout, and an occasional small black-tip shark could be part of the mix. Can’t wait!

I hope you enjoy our website and send in some suggestions for a blog or ideas for our fellow rv’ers.

Until next time…Happy RV’ing!
